Located in Porto Trombetas/Oriximiná, in Pará, Lago Batata received a daily load of approximately 25,000m3 of bauxite waste between 1979 and 1989. The result: a unique disturbance from an ecological point of view. Work carried out by the Limnology Laboratories of UFRJ and UFJF.
Here, I analyze the concept of music scene from the post-subculturalist studies of the 1990s from the investigation of the history of the hip hop movement in Juiz de Fora, with a special focus on rap music.
Since its (recent) emergence, Semiotics has expanded the possibilities for analyzing communicational processes. The present work seeks to introduce the basic concepts of Semiotics, especially that developed by the American Charles Peirce, as well as to apply them to a specific communication process: the cover of the album “Revolver”, the seventh album by the band The Beatles, released in 1966.
